Family Fun Day features in Ruislip Gazette
The Grangewood Family Fun Day on Saturday was a huge success! The day is being featured in this weeks Ruislip Gazette so please grab a copy! You can also read about it online at www.ruislip.uxbridgegazette.co.uk
Not only did Channel 4's George Lamb attend but he also brought his father Larry Lamb with him (better known for his role as villain Archie in Eastenders!). Both George and Larry stayed to chat to everybody there, pose for photos and sign autographs. George has also agreed to be patron of Grangewood School's Charity!
We raised over £4,000 on the day which will all go towards the new adventure playground. The weather brightened up for the afternoon and all the entertainment was fantastic! It was a brilliant day and thank you to everyone who helped out on the day!

Local community show their support!
We have been overwhelmed and greatly encouraged by the response of the local community since Kai's story was featured in the Uxbridge Gazette. Members of the public have made some very kind donations to The Kai Phillips Trust and sent some lovely letters of support.
Local businesses have also donated some wonderful raffle and auction prizes for our fundraising evening.
A big thank you to everyone who is supporting us! Each and every assistance offered builds towards our goal and is greatly appreciated.
Kai makes his very own teddy bear!
On Thursday 17th September 2009 Kai was invited to the Build A Bear Workshop in The Chimes, Uxbridge, with his friends and children from St Andrews Primary School in Manor Waye, Uxbridge.
There he and his friends helped design a bear and choose its outfit, and the bear will be up for grabs in the raffle at our fundraising evening on October 31.
The children chose a Dracula outfit for the bear, to fit in with our Halloween themed fundraising evening, and named the bear 'Kai 2'.
We would like to thank Build A Bear Workshop for their very kind donation. The staff were excellent and it was a fantastic afternoon.
